Terms of Use
Effective 26 July 2026 · Mentor Agora Ltd (“we”, “us”, “Veyl”)
These Terms govern your use of Veyl’s website, web app, and desktop software. By creating an account or using Veyl, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
Veyl helps you capture meetings, get live transcription and AI coaching, manage tasks, and optionally connect a calendar so your schedule appears in the app. Features may vary by plan. Items described as coming soon are not part of the service until they ship.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized use at support@meetveyl.com.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Veyl unlawfully or to violate others’ rights
- Attempt to break or bypass security, rate limits, or plan limits
- Abuse, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service except as allowed by law
- Upload malware or overload the service in a harmful way
- Connect accounts you are not allowed to authorize
4. Recording and consent
You are solely responsible for obtaining any consent required to record or process conversations under the laws that apply to you and your participants. Veyl does not join meetings as a bot; that does not reduce your legal duties.
5. Calendar connections
Connecting a calendar (Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook) is optional. By connecting, you authorize Veyl to access schedule information as shown on that provider’s permission screen and as described in our Privacy Policy. You must only connect accounts you are allowed to authorize. Your use of those providers remains subject to their own terms. We read calendar information to power Veyl features; we do not write events back to your calendar. Calendar connect is separate from signing in to Veyl; how many calendars you can connect depends on your plan.
6. AI features
Coaching, summaries, Ask, Compose drafts, and similar assists are machine-generated. They may be incomplete or incorrect. They are not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for what you say and send.
7. Plans, minutes, and billing
Free and paid plans include different Live-minutes allowances and features. Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment provider. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we expressly agree. We may change plans or pricing with reasonable notice for renewals.
8. Your content
You retain rights to content you create or upload. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve Veyl as described in the Privacy Policy. You represent that you have the rights needed to use that content with Veyl.
9. Intellectual property
Veyl, including software, branding, and documentation, is owned by Mentor Agora Ltd or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or source code except as needed to use the service.
10. Disclaimer
Veyl is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mentor Agora Ltd and its directors, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) amounts you paid us for Veyl in the 12 months before the claim or (b) £50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, create risk, or if required by law. You may stop using Veyl at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (including IP, disclaimer, liability, and governing law) will survive termination.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will update the Effective date and may provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you may have mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
