Resolved: live coaching interruptions

Update

2026-09-22 · Veyl

We recently found an issue that could interrupt live coaching during an active meeting. In some sessions, the floating widget could keep listening without showing a new suggested question, or display a rate-limit message during normal use. On-demand Ask next could also occasionally need a second tap.

We’re sorry for the interruption — especially when Veyl is meant to help at the exact moment you need it.

What was happening

Overlapping coaching refreshes could be mistaken for excessive activity. That caused a normal refresh to pause instead of quietly continuing. We also found edge cases where an incomplete response or a temporary connection problem could delay the next useful suggestion.

What we fixed

  • Overlapping refreshes now continue quietly instead of showing a false rate-limit warning
  • Normal meetings have substantially more headroom before genuine safety limits apply
  • Ask next responds on the first tap in On-demand mode
  • Incomplete suggestions are held back until the full question is ready
  • Temporary interruptions retry without clearing the last useful question
  • Stop and Restart reset coaching cleanly for a new session

What works now

The complete coaching flow has been verified in production in both `/app/live` and the floating desktop widget:

  • Prep or Skip → Capture
  • Understanding → Earn → suggested questions
  • Auto and On-demand pacing
  • Ask next, Hold, and Release
  • Repeated refreshes during a live conversation
  • Stop and Restart

No desktop-app reinstall is required for this fix because the widget loads the latest hosted Veyl experience.

Thank you to everyone who reported the problem or waited while we worked through it. If live coaching still behaves unexpectedly, please contact support@meetveyl.com and tell us whether you were using the main app or the floating widget.
